In advance of this year’s All Church Camp, the camp committee would like you to complete a survey, whether or not you plan to attend this year:  Here is the link to this survey: https://forms.gle/bWTAMxYqf4a6WuJp9  Paper versions will be available at ACC registration booth and on the wooden corner table outside of Room 101.

Save the date: The 2024 All Church Camp will be held at the Redwood Christian Park Camp near Santa Cruz over the Labor Day weekend, from August 30th to September 2nd.  Our camp theme for this year is “In-N-Out”. Our theme is drawn from the book of 1 John, verse 4:19.  The registration will be available this Sunday during IBF, after the Cantonese service in Room 101 and after the Mandarin service in the Fellowship Hall. The 2024 Oakland Chinatown Street Festival will take place in August. CIBC will host an Open House on Saturday, 8/24, from 10am to 4pm.  We will have dental screening, blood pressure screening, succulent workshop, balloon station, 5-color bracelet worshop, face painting, and food. We need greeters, security/stairs, monitors, helpers for each the area mentioned.  We also want to see if anyone can operate the cotton candy machine and/or photobooth too.  If you cannot help on the 24th, you can also sign up to help with a shorter event on the afternoon of the 25th. Northcreek Counseling Training (NCT) Conference 2024 (in English only) will be held on 3 weekends: August 16-17, September 20-21, and October 18-19. Registration is currently open. This is great training for all our members who want to be better equipped to counsel others from the Bible, and we encourage anyone interested to attend. We will reimburse the registration of anyone attending the conference for the first time. We will also reimburse the registration for all current sponsors and Sunday School teachers (first time or continuing). On Sunday, August 4th, we will have a Deacon Emeritus luncheon and program for Deacons Vincent Fung and Deacon Shun Wong to celebrate their many years serving as active Deacons. The luncheon and program will be held in the Social Hall at 12:30 pm. Tickets for Deacon Emeritus luncheon will be available this Sunday, 7/14, during English IBF time in the Social Hall, after the Cantonese service in Room 101 and after the Mandarin service in the Fellowship Hall. Ticket Prices: $8.00/each for Adults (over 18 years old); $6.00/each for Youth (13 to 18 years old) and Seniors (over 65 years old); $ 4.00/each for Children (5 to 12 years old); Free for 4 years and younger.

CIBC will be hosting this year's Summer Bible Camp (SBC) from 7/22 to 7/26.  Summer Bible Camp is for elementary school aged kids. Please register ASAP. Online registration is available on the church website or at https://forms.gle/eCnazan5nN7mqkqXA 

For the SBC toy drive, please drop off new toys and games for kids (1st to 5th grade) in the collection bin outside of Room 101. Note: NO used and violent toys, and games with inappropriate messages.  Please email Hazel Lau and Deacon Patrick Lau at if you have any questions.

Praise the Lord, the Nepal Medical STM Team has been formed. The dates of the trip are November 4 to 21, 2024 and there are 6 members on the team: Bruce (dentist) and Shirley (physician) Lau, Arden Kwan (physician) and wife Mei Chow-Kwan (physician), Steve Tan, Jessica Yu (physician assistant). The 2024 FLOWER CALENDAR is available for signup. It is posted on the Church Ministry and Church News bulletin board on the hallway. If you wish to sign up, please use the flower envelopes placed on the wall next to the flower calendar, and designate your date(s) to commemorate someone or something.

If you need to park in the parking lot right next to our church on 8th St and block other people's cars on Sundays, please remember to give your car key to the parking lot usher or people in charge in Room 101, and provide your name and contact number as well. In addition, please pick up your car key in the parking lot after the Sunday services as soon as possible. If you come late, please find your key in a black box on the wall of Room 101.
