Weekly Church Update
Week of June 8th, 2025
The 2025 All Church Camp will be held at the Redwood Christian Park Camp near Santa Cruz over the Labor Day weekend, from August 29th to September 1st. Registration will start this Sunday, June 8th, during English IBF time, after the Cantonese service in Room 101 and after the Mandarin service in the Fellowship Hall. Online registration will also be available on the church website or at https://docs.google.com/forms/
The Celebration of Life service for Pastor Tim Lin on 5/31 is available to view online at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tKNxb9gfjok or the link can be found on the homepage of CIBC website.
On June 15th David & Elizabeth will be sharing about their work during IBF. There will also be a lunch and time to share additionally. If you would like to attend the lunch, you can sign up at this link: https://docs.google.com/
There will be an Ordination Service for Fred Ou-Yang on Sunday, June 22nd from 12:30 PM - 2:30 PM. The service will include a lunch provided at a nominal cost in the Social Hall and followed by the Ordination Service in the Sanctuary.
There will be a Deacon Emeritus Service for Deacon Patrick Lau on Sunday, July 13th. More details to come.
Praise the Lord for providing the teachers and helpers for the Summer Bible Camp (SBC) from 6/23 to 6/27. Summer Bible Camp is for elementary school aged kids. *We provide limited scholarships for families in need. You can have the registration fee waived if your child attends the SBC without absence. Please invite your children and your friends' children to come so they can learn about Jesus！ Online registration is available at https://forms.gle/eCnazan5nN7mqkqXA
CIBC is taking a special Love Offering during the months of June. All proceeds will be given to the Lin Family in memory of Pastor Tim Lin. To donate online, go to our website www.cibc-oakland.org and click on the “Give” link. Fill in the needed information. In the Fund Designation section, select “Special Love Fund”. If giving by check, make checks payable to CIBC with “Special Love Fund” written in the memo line. Checks may be sent to CIBC, 280 8th Street, Oakland, CA 94607. If you would like to make a tax deductible gift, do not write Pastor Tim or the family's name on the check or in the fund designation section.
We are looking to recruit a pool of drivers to help drive some of the elderly Cantonese and Mandarin members to and from church. Please prayerfully consider this ministry that may shine light to those eager to come to worship God with the church body on Sundays. The 2025 FLOWER CALENDAR is available for signup. It is posted on the Church Ministry and Church News bulletin board on the hallway. If you wish to sign up, please use the flower envelopes placed on the wall next to the flower calendar, and designate your date(s) to commemorate someone or something.
Children’s Church (1st - 5th grades) 9:15am - 11:00am, Room 313
Note: The Children will participate with the Congregation in the Sanctuary from 9:15am to 9:35am. Between 10:45am and 11:00am, the children will be provided with snacks and have supervised free time. They can be picked up by their parents during this time, or they can remain in the room until their teachers escort them to their Sunday school classrooms at 11:00am.

Parents: Please be sure to pick up your children promptly at 12:15 PM.
If you need to park in the parking lot right next to our church on 8th St and block other people's cars on Sundays, please remember to give your car key to the parking lot usher or people in charge in Room 101, and provide your name and contact number as well. In addition, please pick up your car key in the parking lot after the Sunday services as soon as possible. If you come late, please find your key in a black box on the wall of Room 101.
